The Writing Lab

Grinnell has many resources that will support your academic efforts. For this class, the Writing Lab may be especially helpful to know about. This information about the lab comes from its director, Tisha Turk:

The Writing Lab, located in the Carnegie wing of the HSSC on the first floor, supports students working on papers, projects, and presentations. In one-on-one sessions, students can get feedback as they brainstorm ideas, strengthen arguments, choose and analyze evidence, focus paragraphs, craft introductions and conclusions, rewrite sentences, organize and revise whole drafts, plan presentations, and more. Writing Lab instructors do not proofread papers, but they can help writers learn strategies for editing their own work.
