Mark Passages during Discussion

Virtually all teachers test mostly or exclusively the material that has been discussed in class. A useful trick, therefore, is to use a recognizable mark to indicate passages that come up in class discussion; I’ve known people to use a squiggly line in the margin, for instance, or a pen instead of a pencil. That way, you can use the marked passages as a starting point when you review for an exam.
