Revisions

Each fully complete revision will have the following three characteristics:

1. It will include a completed revision submission sheet that documents all of the following elements. (The link to the submission sheet takes you to a template file. If you open it, you should be able to fill it out and save your own copy. Let me know if you have any trouble.)
2. The revised version of your work will have the changes clearly marked. (For papers, you can track the changes using your word processing software. If you are not familiar with that process, you can use this guide I have created (PDF). For the video essay, you can similarly track changes on a script, or you can choose another way of explaining what you have revised. Just be sure that I can understand exactly what you changed without doing a side-by-side comparison of the versions.)
3. The revised version of your work will show that you have substantially revised the work, addressing the main areas for revision we identified in the first version and taking any other opportunities you see for improving your work.
4. The submission of the revision will also include a 250- to 350-word process reflection that explains, as precisely as possible, the steps of your revision and your thinking behind them. This reflection is your chance to explain how you have earned the credit for a fully complete revision by committing to the project your time, thought, and desire to improve your work.
