Portfolio

The portfolio is the most important thing you will hand in for the course.

You will submit it by email, and the submission will include three or four attachments: one will be the completed portfolio template, and the other two or three will be the final versions of your papers.

The completed template document will include the following elements, in this order:

1. A retrospective statement. This does not need to be longer than one double-spaced page, though you can write more if you feel so inspired. Looking back at your end-of-term reflection, what would you add about your experience of the end of the semester and preparing the portfolio? Is there anything else you would like me to know about your experience in this course?

2. Annotated bibliography entries (separate from the bibliographies for each paper): follow the instructions for the annotated bibliography assignment, which include a sample entry.

3. A word count: so that I don't have to try to estimate word counts, please use the counting function in your word processor to provide a list of each paper's word count and the total for the portfolio papers.

Then you will also attach the final versions of your portfolio papers: the papers themselves should total at least 3,000 words. That number can come from two or three papers. Portfolio papers should use Chicago NB (Notes and Bibliography) style for documentation. (Here, again, is my handout that you can use for reference.) Please highlight the changes you have made in revision or otherwise mark them so I can easily see exactly how the new version differs from the previous one.
